my name is a lot of things. mikey or some iteration of michael is usually that thing. i'm a 17 year old pakeha boy from auckland, new zealand. i'm socially reclusive. this is a nice place for me to be, because i don't feel any kind of pressures where everything else is far too much. i have three cats. i'm criminally uncool and awesomely in love with sugary drinks.

i like music. my favourite band ever is philidelphia-based post hardcore band, circa survive. by extension of this, my favourite song ever is house of leaves, off of their 2005 album juturna. i like planes and am working towards my pilots license. i 'like' art, or i like saying that i make art, but i hate the process of making art. my favourite game is animal crossing : new leaf.
like most people here, i have a certain adoration for the old internet. it's not nostalgic, as it's not something i really experienced. my love comes more from a place of being intimidated by the fast-paced advertisement paradises of social medias. i enjoy html, but not css- i feel far too indecisive for css :(. i'd like to say that the creativity of neocities draws me in- it definitely does when it comes to looking through other websites- but most of my interest in neocities comes from the lack of limits. i enjoy this place because it is free, in a way. does this make sense?
